N: All the
hallmarks of a fine Hawke's Bay Chardonnay: vibrant and expressive stone fruit
centred bouquet surrounded in sweet, lightly spiced French oak. Peaches,
nectarines, vanillin, nutty butter notes and toasty edges.
P: Full-bodied, nutty, rich and full flavoured
chardonnay: again, the stonefruit flavours reach out first, then the spice of
oak and a bite of acidity kick in. A youthful wine overall with 2-3 years
development ahead. Quite tasty on its own, but even better with equally rich
cuisine (truffled bow-tie pasta with field mushrooms, and a light cream sauce)
