Pegasus Bay

Pegasus Bay Sauvignon Semillon 2013 Waipara Valley
Fruity, waxy, ripe and packed with suggestions of honey, sweet Meyer lemon, pears and white peaches; some floral moments and lees like suggestions add depth and allure. On the palate - quite a powerful impact with plenty of acidity contrasted immediately with ripe citrus and orchard fruit flavours; the honey note returns though not as strong; lots of texture from lees and perhaps a little spice from oak; quite a classic finish which is dry, lengthy finish and quite classical. One for the cellar.

Pegasus Bay Gewurztraminer 2014 Waipara Valley
Beautiful golden hues and star bright in appearance; a full and rich bouquet of Gewurztraminer with perfumed scents of nougat and burnt roses, a touch of brulee and white peach; lots of fruit suggestions begin to unfurl as the wine opens up in the glass. On the palate - creamy, rich, salivating and packed with multiple fruit flavours; the tension mid and back palate from the phenolics adds texture and length as well as pushes the flavour of creme-de-violet and Spring fruits; honey is also a key feature; long rewarding finish.
