Deep golden hues and star bright appearance. Aromas of spice, beeswax and honeycomb; preserved apricots and peaches with citrus peel, very distinctive and packed with energy. On the palate - fantastic! Delicious, honeyed, oozing flavour and texture with huge sweetness equaled by acidity and richness; oak spices, citrus and stone fruit flavours, long finish.

Quite a dense and rich perfume with aromas of crushed roses, red berry fruits, spices and mineral; quite a distinctive layer with the oak and mineral aromas intertwined; as the wine opens up aromas of other red fruits especially plum and red currant begin to emerge; overall complex. On the palate - savoury and dry with flavours of red berry fruits, silty mineral and spicy oak - these features are enhanced by the alcohol also emphasizing the medium+ tannins and acidity - both adding age worthy components; youthful yet lengthy finish; well made. Must be decanted for service though best drinking will likely begin from 2018 - 2025
