Esk Valley

Esk Valley 'The Hillside' Malbec/Merlot/Cabernet Franc 2010
Powerful and engaging bouquet driven by ripe and frangrant aromas of Malbec first with chocolate and boysenberry; then Cabernet Franc with bitter chocolate and green bell-pepper; then Merlot bringing it all together with soft and ripe plum; plenty of toasty oak and stony mineral core. On the palate - youthful, fresh, engaging textures, a core of ripe berry fruits, oak with clove and baked vanilla tones; medium+ acidity and developing complexity; abundant tannins with numerous textures, a long and complex finish; a wine that will continue to age and develop over the coming 8-10 years.
95 Points
