Spade Oak Vineyard ‘Vigneron’ Chardonnay 2015 Gisborne
A very
interesting Chardonnay bouquet with aromas of citrus and apple then white peach
and sulphide complexity, a creamy almost yoghurt-like layer and vanilla scents
of oak with a mild toasty quality. On the palate – crisp, creamy texture with flavours
of peach and lemon then apple and oak spice, the vanilla, sulphide and oak
attributes return. A lovely wine with a lengthy finish. Balanced and well made.
Drink now and through 2024.
